Luota罗塔(Rota) 西班牙西南部海港，美国海军基地。位于北纬36。37’，西经6。20’。濒大西洋加的斯湾。东南距海军基地加的斯约10千米。逼近地中海出入口直布罗陀海峡，战略地位重要。人口约2．5万。1953年美国根据美西“安全与防务协定”，租借罗塔海军基地。1958年完成基地扩建工程。从1964~q’．!起进驻美国第6舰队导弹核潜艇8艘，1979年6月全部撤离。1982年5月西班牙加入北大西洋公约组织后，于1983年2月宣布允许美国继续使用该基地。基地在罗塔东面3千米处，水域面积24．7平方千米。由东、西2条各长1 350米和1 50¨D米的防波堤相围成港池。港池水深9～12．6米，入口处宽400米。拥有码头3座，码头岸线长2．5千米，水深达12米。能同时停泊包括航空母舰在内的大型舰船26艘。基地船坞可同时为2艘6万吨级舰船进行坞修。其浮动基地和浮动船坞为潜艇提供各种物资和技术保障。沿岸主要设施有容量30多万吨的油库，8 000吨的弹药库以及医院、通信站、气象站等。敷设有连接内陆莫龙、托雷洪、萨拉戈萨3个空军基地的输油管，总长1100千米。基地北部建有军用机场，跑道长3 600米、宽60米。1994年驻有美国海军人员4 100人。 (裘永涛)
