癸二酸二辛酯又称癸二酸二(2-乙基己)酯，简称DOS， 分子量426．66。无色或淡黄色透明油状液体。能溶解乙基纤维素、聚苯乙烯、和乙酰氯乙酸。相对密度(25℃／4℃)0．913，疑固点-55℃，沸点377℃，闪点(开口)215℃，折射率1. 449，粘度(20 ℃)19.9mPa·s。溶于醇类、酮类、酯类、烃类、氯代烃类有机溶剂，不溶于水和二元醇类。可与乙基纤维素,聚苯乙烯,聚乙烯,聚氯乙烯等混用.耐寒性良好。可燃，无毒；LD50 12800～29600mg／kg。
用作优良的增塑剂用作低温增塑剂.也用于喷汽式发动机的合成润滑油。
