| 戴维斯（1908～1989） Davis，Bette 美国电影演员。1908年4月5日生于马萨诸塞州洛厄尔，1989年卒于纽约。约翰·默里·安德森戏剧学校毕业。她早年曾演出舞台剧。1934年在《人类枷锁》一片中扮演低级酒吧中的女招待一举成名。1935年因主演《女人，女人》而获奥斯卡最佳女演员奖。1938年又因《吉萨蓓尔》第二次获奥斯卡最佳女演员奖。40年代是她的鼎盛时期，拍摄多部影片，主要有《老处女》、《黑色胜利》、《小狐狸》等。1950年因主演《彗星美人》而获纽约影评人最佳女演员奖。此后拍片数量渐少。 1977 年美国电影研究院授予她终身成就奖 。1986年，她与另一位80高龄的明星B.吉许合作主演《八月的鲸》而获得极高的评价。
