| 电功率 electric power 在电路中，单位时间内电场驱动电流所做的功。当直流电路两端的电压为U，通过电路的电流强度为I时，电功率P＝IU是恒定的，其单位是瓦特 ，简称瓦（W）。在交流电路中，电压u（t）、电流i（t）都随时间变化，相应的瞬时功率P（t）＝u（t）i（t）也随时间变化 。瞬时功率在一个周期内的平均值称为平均功率  ， ＝UIcosj ，其中U、I分别是交流电压和电流的有效值，j 是交流电路中电压与电流的相位差，）cosj称为功率因数。在交流电路中，平均功率 是一个有实际意义的重要物理量。电场驱动电流作功，表明电路中有电能转化为其他形式的能量。如果电路中有电动机，则绝大部分电能转化为机械能；如果有正在充电的蓄电池或正在工作的电解槽，则转化为化学能；如果有电阻器，则转化为热能；等等。电功率描述这种能量转化的快慢。 |
