【担保证券】“无担保证券”的对称。以某种方式保证偿还本息的证券。如以发债公司的不动产和动产(如商品、银行存款、股票、债券等)作担保的公司债券，或以政府、信誉好的银行及发债公司的母公司作担保人的公司债券。当发债人无力偿还本息时，可通过拍卖发债人的担保品或由担保人为其偿还本息。担保证券的风险小于“无担保证券”，所以其利率通常也比较低。
