病起之因虽多，不出四大增损，致有患生。又由观阴、惑，激动四大，致有患生。身若染病，废修圣道。若能观察，弥益用心；复须识其病之原由，宜以何法治之。或内观力，或术或医。其病若愈，圣道可修。为是须观病患境也。（四大者，地大、水大、火大、风大也。谓人揽外四大，而成内身四大。皮肉筋骨等属地，涕唾涎沫等属水，暖气属火，转动及出入息属风。言增损者，水增则火损，火增则水损；风增则地损，地增则风损。四大不调，病即生也。阴惑者，阴即阴境，惑即烦恼境也。）
