即血清谷氨酸丙酮酸转氨酶，简称GPT或ALT，具有可逆性催化转氨基作用，作用于丙氨酸及α-酮戊二酸组成的基质，产生丙酮酸。儿童GPT正常值583nmol·s-1/L以下。正常情况下，该酶主要分布于细胞内，特别以肝组织细胞中含量最高，血清中活性很低。当某种原因使细胞膜通透性增高，或因组织坏死，细胞破裂后，GPT活性增高。显著增高见于各种急性期肝炎、药物中毒性肝细胞坏死；中度增高见于肝癌、肝硬化及慢性肝炎；轻度增高见于阻塞性黄疸及胆系感染。
