制备方法：由环庚亚胺（见C7H5N，[1121-92-2]）与邻苯二甲酰溴乙亚胺缩合后水解，得到N-氨乙基环庚亚胺，再与异甲硫脲硫酸盐缩合即得胍乙啶硫酸盐。将环庚亚胺配制成二甲苯溶液，与邻苯二甲酰溴乙亚胺在反应锅内混合。先加入1/3量的碳酸钠，加热蒸去水份，待温度升至138℃回流1h后，降温。加入1/3量的碳酸钠，再蒸去水分，回流2h，加入其余1/3量的碳酸钠，蒸去水分，再升温回流7h。降温至30-40℃，出料，冷至10℃过滤。滤饼用二甲苯洗涤，洗滤液合并，用盐酸萃取7-8次，分出二甲苯。盐酸萃取液加热回流8h，降温至30℃出料，冷至15-20℃过滤。滤液用液碱调pH14，然后用苯萃取8次，用无水碳酸钠脱水6h以上。过滤，滤液常压蒸去苯，再减压蒸馏，收庥90-110℃（1.33kPa）馏分，得N-氨乙基环庚亚胺（C9H20N2）。将 N-氨乙基环康亚胺、异甲基硫脲硫酸盐加入乙醇中加热回流2.5h，即生成胍乙啶硫酸盐，经精制、干燥，即得成品。
用途：该品为抗高血压药。
