Rolling Stock Axle Whole Process Management Project Research;

A new method for processing the hexagonal hole in the axle by hot backward extrusion on the friction press was proposed,which threw away the traditional milling or slotting method.

Several suggestions are given on the development of wheelset technology in our country.

Through the analysis on the present wheelset processing and assembling,it is put forward that the key point to prevent the axle breaking is to avoid the existing of early stage failure factors,and improvement of the wheelset processing,assembling technology and the quality is the key point to avoid axle fracture failure.

The present conditions of inspection and repair for wheelsets in our country are described,combined with the reform of the inspection and repair line for wheelsets in Eastern Nanjing Depot,the reasonable thinking of the inspection and repair process for wheelsets is given out.
