Analysis and Correction of Non-liner Error in Head-up Display;

Head-up displays(HUD) are the primary flight displays for modern military aircrafts.

In order to improve the parallax measurement accuracy of the head-up display(HUD),a new method based on the computer vision,CCD and digital image processing technology is put forward based on the analysis of various traditional measurements.

In field,Head Up Display sight calibrator can not only directly measure and test the fixed precision of Head Up Display symbol by install on HUD components of certain aircraft,but also can calibrate and adjust the installation position of HUD components so as to accomplish the ordnance calibrator based on aeronautical cannons.

A computer generated holography (CGH) wavefront transforming element is designed and fabricated based on computer generated hologram and binary optical technique,and is applied in head up display.

We studied the position limitation of Head-Up Display(HUD) when it is installed on the aircraft,presented the general rules that should be obeyed in HUD installation design process in order to obtain a big downward view angle and a reasonable position relationship between Total Field of View(TFOV) and Instantaneous Field of View(IFOV).

Parallax of Head Up Display (HUD) refers to the unparallelism of aiming beams sent from the same light point on the imaging source of HUD.
