gigantism
又称“巨大发育”,是一种呈现过度生长发育的内分泌疾病。由于儿童期因肿瘤等病因使垂体前叶功能亢进,促生长激素分泌过多所致。表现为身材异常高大,体力先增强,以后减弱。治疗用深部X线照射或手术切除肿瘤等。
