Based on the analysis of variance(ANOVA) and cluster analysis on sowing quality of seeds of 5 Norway spruce provenances and 10 narrow crowned pendula Norway spruce families introduced from Finland,the results showed that their seed purity was more than 98%.

河北红松洼自然保护区位于河北省围场满族蒙古族自治县境内，地理坐标为东经117°18ˊ-117°35ˊ，北纬42°10ˊ-42°20ˊ，总面积7300公顷。保护区于1994年经河北省人民政府批准建立，是一个以亚高山草甸为主要保护对象的自然保护区。
本区地处蒙古高原东南沿，地貌属高原台地，平均海拔1750米，区内有大小1个，水域面积8公顷，植被以亚高山草甸为主，建群种主要为莎草科，禾本科、豆科、菊科等次之。植被覆盖率在90％以上，为华北亚高山草甸保存最好的区域之一。由于 本区位于东北、华北、内蒙古三大植物区系交汇地带，生物多样性比较丰富，每 平方米种子植物达25种以上，区内分布有国家重点保护的药用植物8种以及白鹤、黑鹤、大鸨、大天鹅等国家保护野生动物20种，为我国中温型森林草原地带的生物物种基因库，具有重要的保护价值和科研价值。另一方面，本区位于西辽河和滦河和发源地，处于农牧交错地带，生态系统脆弱敏感，稳定度低，容易引起沙化退化。
