遥控系统的循环工作方式，即遥控信息交换由时分开关操纵反复传输，因而遥控信息以一定时间间隔周期性地传输。循环遥控系统属于时分多路传输系统，收发双方的时分开关必须保持同步。在循环遥控系统中把N个控制对象分成若干群，每群又分若干个被控对象，称为点，分别赋予群选择地址码和点选择地址码。对每个地址均可执行不同的功能（如开、关等），赋予相应的功能码。对需要调整的对象可设置调整码。循环遥控的信息校验不宜采用反馈校验方式，可采用连送校验方式。对于采用恒比码的系统，可采用连送校验加定和(等比)校验，有时还加上总数校验。对于采用二进制编码的十进制码（BCD码）的系统,通常采用连送校验加奇偶校验，再加总数校验。循环遥控系统可在时序电路的作用下和遥测系统结合在一起，构成遥测遥控系统。
