过冷 supercooling 温度低于凝固点但仍不凝固或结晶的液体称为过冷液体。过冷液体是不稳定的,只要投入少许该物质的晶体,便能诱发结晶,并使过冷液体的温度回升到凝固点。这种在微小扰动下就会很快转变的不稳定状态称为亚稳态。 当用适当的方式缓慢冷却饱和溶液时,可使其变成过饱和而不析出溶质的结晶,这种现象也称为过冷,这种溶液称为过冷溶液。过冷溶液也是不稳定的。 在没有尘埃、没有电荷的洁净空间中,使蒸气绝热膨胀,温度突然下降,可以不发生液化现象,而使原来的饱和蒸气变成过饱和,这种过饱和蒸气又称过冷蒸气。过冷蒸气也是不稳定的,如有微粒作凝结核心,就会出现雾滴。核物理实验技术中,利用过冷蒸气的不稳定性来产生液滴,以显示粒子的径迹,这种探测器叫做云室。 |
