补充资料:鳌柱塔
鳌柱塔原是招宝山十二景之一景。即“鳌柱插天”。则于历史原因,原鳌柱塔早已损毁无存。为恢复这一历史遗迹,镇海历届领导在筹资方面做了很多工作。
新建鳌柱塔坐落在招宝山北峰顶上,其下面南坡上屹立的便是观音阁圣地。
鳌柱塔由侨胞捐资和政府拨款共同建设,花资约600万元。由天津大学规划设计。主体工程自1995年5月破土动工,1998年10月竣工,管理房等附属工程1999年春节前完工,当年春节正式开放接待游客。
鳌柱塔占地361平方米,为仿宋建筑,钢筋混凝土框架结构,锚岩桩基础,按抗震抗台规范设防,塔身净高57.6米,七层八角,青铜塔刹顶,塔内除设有步行步阶外,还设有电梯,方便年老游客。
鳌柱塔是镇海口的制高点,登塔远眺,望海观潮,领略海天风光,东海诸岛若隐若现.俯视城镇乡村、炼油厂、镇海发电厂、北仑港码头尽收眼底;镇海城镇乡村,历历在目;宁波市区现代化港口城市隐约可见;逶迄曲折的甬江彩带把宁波、镇海连起来。 文字
