Pharmacodynamic experiments of rat cataract induced by sodium selenite demonstrated that the eye drops could delay the development of lens turbidity, enhance superoxide dismutase,catalase,glutathione peroxidase activities and decrease malondialdehyde and infusible protein content of lenses.
