以2004年内蒙古乌达地区1∶5000大比例尺的直升机航空电磁、磁综合测量资料为基础,结合地面煤田地质、物探、遥感等资料,对内蒙古乌达地区的航空磁场特征、航空电磁场特征与地下煤火分布的关系进行了分析与研究,在综合分析的基础上,建立了该区的地下煤火划分标志,并对该区的地下煤火分布和燃烧状况进行了分析和圈定。
补充资料：地下漏斗
地下漏斗就是某地区因地下水被过度开采，导致地下水饱和水面（也叫潜水面）以采水点为中心，四周向中心呈梯度下降的现象。即潜水面形成了以地下水开采井道为中轴的漏斗形。该现象会进一步引起因地下储水空间缺乏水体的支撑而萎缩，使上边的土石层在重力作用下往下沉，不但让地面建筑工程受到安全威胁，而且在雨季，降水对地下水的补充也会因储水空间减小而减少直至不补给，从而引起当地地下水资源萎缩和枯竭。
