又称枸橼酸铁铵,是柠檬酸铁 FeC6H5O7和柠檬酸铵(NH4)3C6H5O7的复盐,其组成因合成条件不同而异,没有确切的化学式。棕色鳞片状的含铁量较高,达18.5%,可用作补血药,以治疗缺铁性贫血。绿色鳞片状的含铁量较低,为14.5%~16%。二者均为光化学敏感物质,绿色较棕色更易感光。涂有绿色柠檬酸铁铵和赤血盐(铁氰化钾)的纸称为蓝色晒图纸。在曝光时,柠檬酸盐内的三价铁被还原为二价,遇水即产生滕氏蓝,故受光部分即变为蓝色,不受光部分仍为白色、可得蓝底白线图样。
