The paper introuduces application parameters and foundamental characteristics of the newly developed high energry ZnO ceramics linear resistor,the results of study are also re- ported.

After a study of various existing de-excitation methods of generators, a new method of using the linear resistor and nonlinear resistor together as the de-excitation resistance is presented.

The author present a new developed neutral grounding resistor based on zinc oxide linear resistors which features high thermal capcity, low heating level, stable resistivity, safely and excellent service performance.
