| 上升流 upwelling 从表层以下铅直上升的海流。表层流场产生水平辐散所造成。反之，表层流场产生水平辐合，就造成从表层铅直向下的海流，称为下降流。这两种流动合称为升降流，是大洋环流的组成部分 。上升流的流速甚小 ，约10-4 ～ 10-2厘米／秒，而且因地而异，如北美的加利福尼亚外海的上升流，流速为20米／月；中国浙江近海的上升流的流速，可达87.6米／月；南美西岸的强上升流，流速可达200米／月。当季风沿海岸线吹刮时，会产生大片的上升流。索马里和阿拉伯半岛东面的海岸带的上升流，是地球上最强的上升流。中国的台湾和海南岛近海，以及东海某些海域，都有上升流。在岛屿和海岬的背风侧，暗礁周围和北半球较强的逆时针流旋中，以及水团的边界处，都会产生局地的上升流。上升流可把深海区的海水营养盐带到表层提供了丰富的饵料使该海区成为渔场。 |
