A mathematical model was proposed,which can be used to predict the droplet size distribution of the three-channel air-blast nozzle (using) the normalization,specific surface area constraint and large drop constraint.

Experimental results show that by modifying the incidence angle of the laser beam, adding two side nozzles and so on, the laser welding quality and the life of the optical apparatus could be improved dramatically.
