生产方法：采用合成法。以溴正辛烷和2，4-二羟基二苯甲酮为原料，在丙酮、碳酸钾存在下进行合成，再经过滤、浓缩、重结晶、再次过滤而得。
用途：紫外线吸收剂。主要用于防晒类和晒黑类化妆品。能有效地吸收波长为300-375μm的紫外线。光稳定性优良。添加量通常不超过5％。
