【性状】
本品略呈半球形或不规则团状，直径1～2.5cm。花托半球形，与花萼基 部合生；萼片5,披针形，黄绿色或棕绿色，被有细柔毛；花瓣多皱缩，展平后宽卵形， 呈覆瓦状排列，紫红色，有的黄棕色；雄蕊多数，黄褐色。体轻，质脆。气芳香浓郁， 味微苦涩。
【鉴别】
本品萼片表面观：非腺毛较密，单细胞，多弯曲，长136～680μm， 壁 厚，木化。腺毛头部多细胞，扁球形，直径64～180μm，柄部多列性，长50～340μm， 基部有时可见单细胞分枝。草钙簇晶直径9～25μm。
【性味与归经】
甘、微苦，温。归肝、脾经。
【功能与主治】
行气解郁，和血，止痛。用于肝胃气痛，食少呕恶，月经不调， 跌扑伤痛。
【用法与用量】
1.5～6g。
【贮藏】
密闭，置阴凉干燥处。
