1.古代巴渝地区民间武舞。周初传入中原，被采用为军队乐舞。《后汉书·南蛮传》:"至高祖为汉王，发夷人还伐三秦。秦地既定，乃遣还巴中……俗喜歌舞，高祖观之，曰:'此武王伐纣之歌也。'乃命乐人习之，所谓《巴渝舞》也。"魏晋后王粲﹑傅玄等人人有拟作。自汉至唐，为庙堂舞中武舞之一。魏更名"昭武舞"，晋更名"宣武舞"，梁恢复原称。隋文帝曾以非正典罢之。唐清商乐中尚有"巴渝舞"之名。陆龟蒙有拟作。后不复见于记载。
