性质:又称生乳素,黄体营养素,促黄体素。由牛、羊和猪等哺乳动物垂体前叶提取而得,结晶。分子量23 500。不溶于水。在少量酸存在时,能溶于无水甲醇和乙醇。等电点5.73。垂体前叶分泌的激素之一,由198个氨基酸残基及3个二硫键组成的单链蛋白。其生理功能是刺激已发育完全的乳腺分泌乳汁,刺激并维持黄体分泌孕酮。能为雌激素拮抗。LTH能促进乳腺中RNA及蛋白质的合成,使糖代谢及脂代谢中的许多酶活性的增强,肌注后可直接作用于乳腺组织,促使产后发育完备乳腺增强乳汁分泌。亦可用于治疗功能性子宫出血。
