| 鸢 Milvrs korschus；black kito 鸟纲，隼形目鹰科鸢属的一种。又名老鹰、老雕、黑耳鹰、老鸢、鸡屎鹰。广泛分布于欧亚大陆、非洲、东南亚和大洋洲北部。中国仅有1种，在各地繁殖。全身羽毛暗褐色，在高空展翅翱翔时，双翅下方各有一明显大白斑 ；尾稍长，尾端呈深叉状，与其他猛禽尾形不同，极易识别。雌雄成鸟羽色类似。嘴黑色，下嘴基部和蜡膜浅黄绿色；脚铅灰黄色。栖息于旷野。天气晴朗时常在空中盘旋滑翔，寻觅猎物；大量捕食田间野鼠、害虫等，偶尔兼食小鸟、蛙、蛇、小鱼等。繁殖期结群或单独营巢，通常是在野外高大的树冠顶端或山谷顶上以枯枝堆筑，内铺碎布、废纸、兽毛等。在中国华南地区，2月底开始产卵；在北方，5月上旬产卵。每窝2枚。雌雄均孵卵，孵化期约38天。幼雏留巢哺育约42天后飞出。是中国国家二级保护动物。
