    云底离地面高度一般在6000米以上的云。 属高云族。云体具有丝缕状结构,个体分离散乱,常呈白色,无暗影,有柔丝一般的光泽,系冰晶构成的冰云。常呈丝条状、马尾状、羽毛状、钩状、团簇状、片状、砧状等。日出之前、日落之后,在阳光的照射下,常呈鲜明的黄色或橙色。卷云见晕的机会较少,且不完整。冬季,在中国北方或西部高原上卷云云底高度较低,有时可降微量零星的雪。卷云又可分为毛卷云、密卷云、钩卷云和伪卷云。大多系高空对流的产物。
