夏、秋季采收。

《本草再新》:"味甘苦，性微寒，无毒。"
【归经】
《本草再新》:"入肝、脾二经。"
【功用主治】
清肺，和胃，通络。治肺结核低热，胃痛，月经不调，烫伤。 ①《本草再新》:"平肝和胃，通经络，利血脉，滋肾水。治肝风，和血养血，调经理气，兼去诸风。" ②《上海常用中草药》:"清热。治肺结核低热。"
【用法与用量】
内服:煎汤，0.5～1两；或切断滴汁。外用:捣汁涂。
【选方】
①治虚劳内热:秋后南瓜藤，齐根剪断，插瓶内，取汁服。(《随息居饮食谱》) ②治胃痛:南瓜藤汁，冲红酒服。(《闽东本草》) ③治各种烫伤:南瓜藤汁涂伤处，一天数次。(《福建中医药杂志》2(1):8，1957)
