A method of high performance capillary electrophoresis with electrochemical detection (CE-ECD) has been developed for the determination of five bioactive components in (Semencustae,) namely rutin, hyperoside, kaempferol, p-coumaric acid and quercetin.

【来源】
为藤黄科植物金丝桃的全草。
【植物形态】
金丝桃 半常绿性灌木，高约70厘米。小枝圆柱形，秃净。叶对生，无柄，纸质，长椭圆形，长4～9厘米，宽1.5～2.5厘米，先端钝尖，基部楔形，抱茎，全缘，上面绿色光滑，下面略现灰绿色。聚伞花序顶生；花鲜黄色，径3～5厘米；萼片5，卵状长椭圆形，长约8毫米；花瓣5，阔倒卵形，长1.5～2.5厘米；雄蕊多数，与花瓣等长或略长；花柱细长，先端5裂。蒴果圆卵形，长约8毫米，先端室间5裂，花柱与萼片宿存。花、果期6～8月。 分布我国南北各地。 本植物的果实(金丝桃果实)亦供药用，另详专条。
【采集】
夏、秋采叶鲜用。根全年可采，鲜用或晒干切片，研末。
【性味】
苦涩，温。
【功用主治】
清热解毒，祛风湿，消肿。
【选方】
①治风湿性腰痛：金丝桃根一两，鸡蛋两只，水煎二小时。吃蛋和汤，一天二次分服。 ②治蝮蛇、银环蛇咬伤：鲜金丝桃根加食盐适量，捣烂，外敷伤处。一天换一次。 ③治疖肿：鲜金丝桃叶加食盐适量，捣烂，外敷患处。 ④治漆疮、蜂螫伤：金丝桃根磨粉，用麻油残烧酒调敷局部。(性味以下出《浙讧民间常用草药》)
