   有辛辣味的无色液体。凝固点-30℃。沸点l05℃。密度1.15g/cm3。闪点40.56℃〔开杯〕。折射率1.3974。溶于水、醇、醚、硫酸。属强氧化剂,极不稳定。在-20℃也会爆炸,浓度大于45%就有爆炸性,遇高热、还原剂或有金属离子存在就会引起爆炸。一般商品为40%浓度的溶液,存放过程中也会逐渐分解放出氧气,加热到110℃时即爆炸。剧毒!对皮肤有强烈刺激。
    应用  主要用作纸张、石蜡、木材、织物、油脂、淀粉的漂白剂。医药工业用作饮水、食品和防止传染病的消毒剂。有机工业用作制造环氧丙烷、甘油、己内酰胺的氧化剂和环氧化剂。塑料工业用于制造环氧树脂和增塑剂。分析化学中用作化学试剂。此外,还可用作防腐剂等。
