After reading and analyzing articles on spiritual diseases in “Shi Re Bing Pian”,Xue Shengbai’s therapeutic methods,such as regulating Qi activity,removing internal heat by Tongfu,nourishing Yin-fluid,breaking and expelling blood stasis,clearing heart-fire and purging liver-fire,inducing resuscitation with herbal aromatics,were discovered.

This article aims at emotional illnesses which may inflict heavy damage of people s health in modern life, pointing out that the pathogenesis of emotional illnesses should be explored so as to formulate scientific methods for the assessment of the effects of their prevention and efficient plans for their prevention and treatment.
