脑质内部的室管系统。在大脑半球内有左、右侧脑室;在间脑内有第3脑室;小脑和延髓、脑桥之间为第4脑室;第3脑室和第4脑室由中脑导水管相连。脑室内含脉络丛,产生脑积液充溢脑室并注入蛛网膜下腔滋养神经组织,作为一种缓冲介质保护脑组织免受震荡。如果脑室系统某部发生梗阻,则产生阻塞性脑积水。
