过度紧张(exees，ive tension，overstress)运动竞赛过程中，在运动员心理上所产生的一种强烈的情绪反应。运动员临场情绪紧张可分为一般紧张和过度紧张两类。一般情绪紧张是运动员赛前产生的一种正常心理现象，对运动员能力发挥并无影响，而过度紧张则会导致动作失控或成绩下降。产生过度情绪紧张的原因很多，主要是由于训练过度而产生的厌烦情绪，比赛任务和外界舆论的压力及观众的注目，对比赛条件不适应，对比赛成绩的期望水平过高，对自己技术和体力产生动摇和担心等。 (谢三才撰刘淑慈审)
