性高潮(o rgasm)指性兴奋达到顶峰状态时出现的一系列不自主的平滑肌运动。据玛司特斯和约翰逊的实验室研究，性高潮在男性的特征性生理反应是射精，它是一组平滑肌协同收缩的结果。先是前列腺、精索和输精管收缩，把精液汇聚于尿道前列腺部;然后膀肤颈部的内括约肌收缩，外括约肌松弛，前列腺、会阴肌肉和阴茎体一起节律收缩，使精液分批射出体外。女性性高潮的特征性生理反应是子宫、阴道外1/3处节律性收缩，平均间隔0.8秒，共4一8次，然后间隔延长。男女都伴有肛门外括约肌收缩，频率大约同上:同时呼吸频率可达40次l分，心率110一180以上l分，血压(收缩压)可升高30一sommHg。一般心率变化女子略大于男子，而血压变化男子高于女子10mmHg左右。另外，随意肌也可暂时失去控制，主要表现为四肢远端肌肉的不随意收缩和痉挛。此时意识的清晰度下降，原有思维中断，性快感弥漫全身。须知，不是每次性交都能达到或获得性高潮，也不是每次性高潮一样强烈或者都能给人以性快感。对性高潮不切实际的过高期望，只能抑制性高潮的体验，减少获得性快感的机会。 (李学谦撰画亘}审)
