A method was developed to separate the tobacco-specific nitrosamines N'-nitrosonornicotine(NNN ), 4-(N-nitrosomethylamino )-1-(3-pyridyl)-1-butanone, and other two N-nitrosamines N-mtrosodimethylamine, N-nitrosopyrrolidine which exist in tobacco by high performance liquidchromatography-photohydrolysis-pyrolysis-thermal energy analysis.
