补充资料：唐山抗震救灾模范连
中国人民解放军驻锦州部队某步兵团第 1连的荣誉称号。在抗日战争和解放战争时期，该连曾获"战斗模范连"和"解放锦州尖刀连"称号。1976年7月28日,唐山、丰南地区发生强烈地震。中国人民解放军驻锦州部队奉命开赴震区抗震救灾。途中滦河公路大桥被震断，为了抢时间，该连冒着车翻人亡的危险，绕道从一多年失修、久不通车的险桥闯了过去，最先赶到震区。震后的唐山，房屋倒塌，一片废墟。干部战士在余震频繁的情况下，攀危楼，穿残壁，顶断梁，奋不顾身地昼夜抢救人民的生命财产。遇有较大余震时，他们以自己的身体掩护群众。在抢救过程中，他们不顾自己的饥渴，首先把水和饭送给群众。全连有12人晕厥，多人受伤，先后抢救出11人，扒出和掩埋尸体数百具。还从废墟里清出大量物资，盖了327间简易房，安排了100多户居民的生活，为灾区群众理发、办学校，解决困难，并协助唐山钢厂恢复生产，为唐山抗震救灾作出了贡献。全连有47人立功受奖。中国人民解放军沈阳军区党委给该连记集体一等功。1977年 4月30日，中国共产党中央军事委员会授予该连"唐山抗震救灾模范连"称号。
