反向条件作用(reversed eonditioning)在经典条件作用实验中，先呈现非条件刺激物，后呈现条件刺激物，两种刺激物的作用时间不相重叠。例如，先向狗呈示食物，待撤去食物后再开灯。由于这一安排与通常的做法恰好相反，故称之为反向(或逆向)条件作用。在这种情况一下即使有学习的效果，也是微不足道的;也就是说，动物几乎不可能形成对灯光的唾液分泌的条件反应。某些测验中所见到的“条件反应”很可能是假性条件作用或敏感化的结果，而不是真正的条件反应。参见“假性条件作用”。 (梁宝勇撰金志成审)
