In view of the slagging problem occurring in the coal-fired boiler of Guangzhou Power Plant in recent two years for frequent changing the coal species,some reasonable suggestions are put forward sunch as coal blending and slagging mitigration based on technical reformation of the burner according to its combustion equipment structure and combustion test on various proportion of coal species.

In this paper,the design of retrofitting of a 7 MW iol-fired water boiler into aCWF-fired boiler,the modification of operation of CWF system in front of the retrofitted boilerand the results of the coal-water fule combustion test on the retrofitted 7 MW hot-water boilerare briefly introduced.
