| 埃尔米特（1822～1901） Hermite，Charles 法国数学家。1822年12月24日生于法国洛林，1901年1月14日卒于巴黎。1842年秋入巴黎综合工科学校。1847年通过学士学位的考试。1856年被选为法国科学院院士。1869年成为巴黎综合工科学校和巴黎理学院教授。他还是许多国家的科学院的荣誉成员。埃尔米特的主要工作是证明了e的超越性及用椭圆函数解一般五次方程。此外他对代数型理论、二次型的算术理论、椭圆函数论和阿贝尔函数论均有重要贡献。 |
