数学证明中的一种， 亦即证明考察对象是存在的。
这种证明通常这只能间接指出对象的存在性，却不能具体构造出所需对象。
证明方法通常使用反证法或者是极大原理，佐恩引理等等。
比如euclid证明“素数个数无限”；
又如交换代数中证明“交换环必存在极大理想”；
希尔伯特（hilbert）曾经在给学生讲到存在性证明时，举过一个例子：“
这个班里一定存在一个学生，他的头发数最少， 可是我们不可能知道他是谁”。
