In this paper,the ECOM-SED model,the operator splitting technique and the dry and wet point concept are used to formulate a variable boundary numerical model for the Jiaozhou Bay,and the numerical model is then used to analyze and pridict the effects of reclamation in forebay on marine hydrodynamics from three aspects of tidal and resid- ual currents,tidal wave system and tidal current energy.
