| 路透(1816～1899) Reuter，Paul Julius 英国路透社的创办人。原名I.B.约瑟法特。1816年7月21日生于德国卡塞尔的一个犹太人家庭，1899年2月25日卒于法国尼斯。早年经营出版业务。1849年设立通讯机构，以信鸽传递消息。1851年移居英国，开始通讯社业务工作，把从欧洲大陆发来的金融、商业信息，编成“路透快讯”供给交易所、银行、贸易公司等，同时也向巴黎、柏林等地传送商情消息。1857年入英国籍。1858年有7家伦敦报纸订用他的通讯稿。《泰晤士报》也与他签订了供稿合同。1865年通讯社改组为路透电报公司，兼营电报与海底电缆业务，路透任总经理。1871年获得男爵爵位。1878年退休。 |
