A process of ethylene dimerization and simultaneous in-situ copolymedzation of 1-butene with ethylene using a dual catalyst system consisting of a dimerizationcalystTi(oBu)_4/siO_2 and a copolymerization catalyst TiCl_4/MgCl_2 for producing branched polyethy-lene has been developed.
