| 平顶山矿区 中国大型煤矿区。位于河南省中部，京广和焦枝铁路干线之间。焦枝线穿过西部矿区，交通便利。矿区煤炭资源丰富，初步勘探表明，在东西长达120千米、南北宽达20千米的范围内，煤炭储量超过100亿吨。400多年前已有人在这里剥土挖煤。1949年以前只有几个人力开采的小煤窑。1955年开始建设新井，到1960年，建成投产矿井7处，设计能力501万吨。随着新矿井的投产和老矿井的改造挖潜，煤炭产量不断提高 ，1975年超过了1000万吨。1991年有生产矿井14处，产原煤1689万吨。平顶山煤矿的发展潜力很大，已作为中国的重点煤炭建设基地。 |
