古登堡不连续面(简称古登堡面,gutenberg discontinuity)。该不连续面是1914年由美国地球物理学家古登堡首先发现的,它位于地下2885km的深处。在此不连续面上下,纵波速度由13.64km/s突然降低为7.98km/s,横波速度由7.23km/s向下突然消失。并且在该不连续面上地震波出现极明显的反射、折射现象。古登堡面以上到莫霍面之间的地球部分称为地幔(mantle);古登堡面以下到地心之间的地球部分称为地核(core)。
