俯视取景器(Waist level finder)，拿照相机站着时，因举机至腰部，故得此名。单镜头反光照相机上带有折叠式遮光罩，双镜头反光照相机上的取景器均属此类。35毫米单镜头反光照相机，除有简单的折叠式之外，也有组配高倍率放大镜的，便于复拍和显微摄影时对焦。对于供五棱镜固定的单镜头反光照相机，装有六侧取景器，起到俯视取景器的作用，尤其对竖立位置的拍摄极为方例。
