本文报道了应用航空遥感彩色航片研究清澜港口及其附近珊瑚岸礁的分布，探讨了珊瑚岸礁分布与破浪带间的关系，提出了以破浪带分布为解译标志的珊瑚岸礁间接解译法，获得了海南岛清澜港口及其东侧（邦塘）沿岸珊瑚岸礁的地理分布，发现了港口西侧三处在海图上未见标明的小珊瑚礁分布的准确位置与形态，初步显示了该解译法的可行性与生命力。
