sex chromatin
又称“X小体”、“X染色质”、“性染色质或巴氏小体”。女性间期细胞核中的两条X染色体，只有一条有转录活性，另一条则失去转录活性，并形成固缩状态，染色很深，紧贴在核膜内侧缘，大小约1μm，其形态为平凸形、馒头形或三角形等，称为性染色质。而正常男性中却无。性染色质检查可初筛性染色体病及鉴别性别，对两性畸形可辅助诊断。
