【植物形态】
长刺卫矛 攀援状灌木，高达6米。树皮灰褐色，小枝具四棱。叶对生，薄革质，披针形，长8～15厘米，宽2～5厘米，先端渐尖，基部楔形，边缘有浅锯齿，侧脉在叶基3出状，在叶面下陷；具短柄。聚伞花序3～4回分枝，总花梗长2～4厘米，花梗长4～5毫米；花白绿色，直径约7毫米，4数；雄蕊具锥形花丝。蒴果球形，淡黄色，密生淡黄色细长软刺。种子有橙黄色假种皮。花期6月。果熟期10月。 生于密林潮湿岩缝中。分布贵州、云南、四川等地。

辛，温。
【功用主治】
驱风除湿，止痛。治风湿疼痛，劳伤。
