METHODS One week after ovariectomy (Ovx) or sham operation, female mice were given a 4-week treatment of Pur (50 or 100 mg ·kg-1, ip) or estradiol benzoate (EB, 1 or 5 μg·d-1, ip).

Methods: Adult balb/c mice were sacrificed after 1 month,3 months and 6 months of ovariectomy,the second lumbar vertebrae and the right femurs were obtained to investigate the principle and mechanism of bone loss,using TEM and skeleton ashes measurement,and were compared with control gropus.

METHODS One week after ovariectomy (Ovx) or sham operation,ICR female mice received daily injection of Pur (40 or 120 mg·kg-1, ip) or estradiol benzoate (EB, 4 μg·d-1,sc) for 4 weeks.

Among 43 patients,enucleation was performed on 16 cases and hepatectomy on 27 cases respectively.

Objective To study the variety trend of the related factors that cause the enucleation of eyeball in recent years for providing a basis to reduce and avoid enucleation of eyeball after time.

AIM: To identify factors associated with an increased risk of evisceration or enucleation in eyes with endophthalmitis.

Aims-To determine the incidence and the leading cause for enucleation in patients in China, a high speed economic developing country and focus on reduction of risk causes and the methods of prevention.

The results show that:Enucleation of 1 eye-ball caused a little drop of mid-dark value of serum melalonin (MDSM), while enucleation of both 2 eye-balls (blinding) decreased sig-nificautly the MDSM in the ricefield eels.
